Reya Mellicker
Artist, Healer, and Psychic Sister
Reya is a bodyworker, reiki master and all around healer and artist. She practiced her craft in Washington, D.C. until moving to Eugene, Oregon. . She has been an important contributor to Waving Goodbye to The Patriarchy, inspiring the portable prayer flags, distributing them widely, and waving goodbye herself at potent junctures in time and place.
Ilyse Hogue
Activist, Feminist Leader, and all around Shaker and shaper of things
As head of the National Abortion Rights League, Ilyse fought long and hard for women’s right to make decisions about our own bodies. She has a long history of fighting for what is right, both for the environment and social justice. She is now a consultant to change makers. She is devoted to waving goodbye to the patriarchy. She’s hung prayer flags and has steadily handed out out the portable hanky prayer flags. She was featured in the New Yorker magazine proudly waving a hanky. Many thanks for all the hankies she has given out and how she has spread this spell far and wide.
Max Lange
BODhisattva cOwbutch AND SHE WHO GOES TO THE POST OFFICE
No prayer flags would be distributed without the co-conspiracy of Max. I have a life long post office phobia. Standing in line there gives me the jitters so I have not been in years, maybe decades. Go figure. Max, who’s true self is a Buddhist cowbutch, rides the range at our home in the Mission, San Francisco. She oversees the hacienda, a big 4 story Victorian and garden. My role model has been and continues to be Mrs. Madrigal, the magical landlady of the Tales of The City. Max has taken on her own cowbutch Mrs. Madrigal persona, working with the energies of the house and it’s tenants with love, humor, and old school San Francisco wackiness. She’s doing a great job Waving Goodbye To The Patriarchy!
Katie Kleinsasser
Co-Founder and President of Yourmessagemedia.com, World Class Karaoke Queen and Lover of Life
Katie inspired and conspired with me to do this website. She was a supportive guide and teacher and truth be told, she’s been my supportive guide and teacher since my mid-twenties. Her friendship has been one of the great blessings in my life and I can’t imagine Waving Goodbye To The Patriarchy without her. She resides at our hacienda and the sound of her 7 minute workout and her guitar (which she took up at 61) has become a sweet addition to the soundtrack of daily life.
